Questions to Ask a Gold and Silver Cardboard Laminator Supplier

YDLM1300B Gold & Silver Card Laminating Machine

When discussing a gold and silver card laminating machine, first clarify what card means in the application. Yueda's YDLM1300B is listed for gold and silver cardboard and aluminized transfer paper used in packaging. It is not presented here as a machine for manufacturing plastic membership cards, access-control cards or security credentials.

The product information describes a gantry-type laminating and coating machine with wet lamination, film peeling, back coating and drying. Use the following questions to connect that description to your material and purchasing requirements.

Which material structure and process are being quoted?

Supply the intended layer structure, incoming paper, film or foil, surface treatment and desired finished appearance. Ask the supplier to identify the required process stages and which are included in the proposed configuration. Do not assume that every listed material can be combined in every possible structure.

The YDLM1300B specification table lists PET and OPP film, paper and aluminum foil with individual thickness or grammage ranges. Confirm the selected materials and adhesive together using samples and relevant material information.

What are the usable width and roll-handling limits?

The listed effective working width is 600–1200 mm. Ask about your minimum and maximum web width, incoming roll diameter, core and weight, and the required finished roll. The model name is not a substitute for the effective working-width specification.

Confirm the loading and unloading arrangements, operator access and how rolls move through the workshop. Obtain configuration-specific handling requirements rather than inferring them from the overall machine dimensions.

How will coating and drying be evaluated?

The product table identifies wet lamination with water-based glue, four-roller transfer coating and anilox roller direct coating. Ask which arrangement is proposed for your job and what material or adhesive information is needed to evaluate it.

Request a trial with agreed checks for appearance, bonding and subsequent converting. Record the materials, operating conditions and sample results. Published mechanical and working speeds are different specifications; neither guarantees acceptable output for every material structure.

What installation, training and service are included?

Ask for a layout and utility schedule, installation responsibilities, commissioning and training scope, documentation language, spare-parts arrangements and service terms. Confirm these in the quotation rather than assuming they are included.

For a packaging end use with additional compliance requirements, ask for applicable material and adhesive documentation. A machine description alone does not establish compliance of the finished package. Operation and maintenance must follow the supplied manual and site procedures.

What should be agreed before acceptance?

Set the trial material, measurement method, acceptable sample criteria and delivery scope in writing. Discuss a YDLM1300B configuration with Peter Chen: peterchen@yuedamachine.com, +86 18767458866.
