Before choosing an FQN transverse cutter, identify the paper or board to be processed and the sheet quality needed by the next operation. Yueda's FQN1200 and FQN1400 are listed for paper and board. A material checklist helps distinguish a potentially suitable job from one that still needs a supplier review or sample trial.
State the paper or board grade and supplier specification, including grammage and thickness where available. The FQN product table lists a grammage range of 60–500 g/m² for both models. Grammage measures mass per area; it is not a thickness value in millimetres. Two materials with the same grammage need not have identical thickness, stiffness or cutting behaviour.
Do not use that range alone as approval for an unfamiliar material. Include coated, laminated or otherwise treated samples and ask Yueda to confirm their suitability for the offered configuration.
Provide roll width, diameter, core details and weight, together with the finished sheet dimensions. The published table lists a feeding diameter of 1500 mm and cutting lengths of 400–1300 mm. Listed cutting widths are 1200 mm for FQN1200 and 1400 mm for FQN1400.
Ask the supplier to check the combined requirements. Roll weight and core compatibility should be confirmed separately; a listed diameter does not establish every handling limit.
Identify printed, coated or laminated surfaces and explain which side must be protected. Describe any existing curl, edge damage or variation in the incoming material rather than assuming the cutter will correct it. If a printed mark must determine the cut position, provide a sample and ask which sensing and control options are required.
Prepare representative production material, not only a specially selected clean sample. Agree any storage or conditioning requirements with the material supplier and machine supplier; do not substitute generic moisture or temperature settings for application-specific instructions.
Specify how finished length, squareness, edge condition and stacking will be inspected. Record the material identity and trial conditions alongside the sample measurements. The FQN accuracy checklist covers acceptance-planning questions.
The reviewed FQN information does not establish suitability for plastic film, foil, textiles or every composite. Keep these requests separate for technical review. All setup and adjustment must follow the supplied machine manual and site safety procedures.
